More nice wallpapers

picturesThe last one I thought was worth blogging about was InterfaceLift.

I’ve found another one worth blogging. This one is SocksOff.
This one is great too. It features alot of nice scenic pictures much like Interface Lift except the main difference is that SocksOff don’t offer a choice of resolution :(
But that’s ok, because they offer many wallpapers with resolution of 1600×1200. Nice and big. Not a huge range of widescreen wallpapers but I don’t mind because I can use them on my desktop PC anyway which is not widescreen.
So check it out :P

Samurize

desktop artJust found a cool peice of software :)

It’s called Samurize

Samurize is basically just a program which enables a user to display monitored data on their desktop easily and clearly. Such data may include your currently playing mp3, cpu usage, ram usage, weather etc, etc… There are tonnes of different scripts you can download and use with Samurize to display all sorts of different things

Here’s some examples from my desktop:

This is an example of me using Samurize to display my current playing song :)

This is an example of me using Samurize to monitor my cpu, ram, hdd, uptime, and date/time

Samurize is an excellent program. But who knows maybe in a week I’ll have deleted it like most desktop tweaking programs I install. This seems legit though, no bugs or any negative effects so far. Very stable, and even has an excellent config editing tool.

Rating? 10/10 – There’s just nothing to deduct points for

Download Samurize here: Samurize (5.56mb)

You’ll want the crystallite monitors: Crystalite (15kb)

Interface Lift

So I’ve found a pretty cool site. A site where they have a nice large amount of hi-res wallpapers, mostly scenic, that lets you pick the resolution, including widescreen resolutions!!

They also have a section for themes, and software for theming windows or osx

From the software section I particularly like the program miniMIZE!

With this program running, minimized windows are thumbnails on the desktop rather than tasks in the task bar, pretty neat.

So check it out: http://www.interfacelift.com

Team_PSD Shirt!

A while ago it was discussed by my course team that we would have a team shirt developed! This excited me, and with digital imagery being an interest of mine I decided to have a shot at designing a logo:(this image was removed during a re-migrate… sorry)Today it was brought to my attention that the shirt was finally being discussed. My lecturer for APS thinks it needs some colour, BUT DAMMIT! Andrew I think you need to get your geek on and start thinking in binary like the rest of us! 1 and 0, black and white, it’s PERFECT!Don’t get me wrong, if my logo isn’t used I’m not gonna suicide, but I would definately love to see my work put to good use ^_^
